The 2011 Kia Soul is one of the more popular offerings from the company because it appeals to the young drivers that they are targeting. It is an affordable means of transportation that offers sporty performance and styling that appeals to the younger drivers who normally buy the cars in this class. There is a lot of competition in this segment of the market of course and Kia have done a good job of carving out a space in it.
The 2011 Kia Soul is one of those new type of hatchbacks that we are starting to see more and more of these days. The really boxy ones that look more like a small SUV than anything else. On the positive side this does give them a lot more interior room than your standard SUV does and this is true of the Soul which is quite roomy, although the cargo space is a little bit small compared to that of some of its competitors. The downside to the boxy shape of course is that it results in a rather ugly exterior. That being said the Kia Soul is probably the most attractive of this type of car, although that isn't saying much.
One of the things that you will notice about the Kia Soul is that you have a lot of options available when you are buying your car. This allows you to get the car that has the features that you need at the price you want. If you are looking for nothing more than bare bones transportation than the basic model is fine but if you are expecting more out of your car than the options to make it happen are definitely there.
One of the optional upgrades that you really should consider is the two liter engine. The standard model comes with a 1.6 liter engine which is adequate but hardly exciting. The larger engine is much better and really allows the car to accelerate quickly and smoothly. Driving Soul is really quite a fun experience, most cars in this class are now designed to have a bit of a sporty feel to them and this car is no exception. A minor downside to this is that the suspension is a little firm which means the ride is not as smooth as it could be, this is a small price to pay however.
The overall impression of the Kia Soul Car is that it provides really good value for the money. It is at the entry level price range and you really do get a lot from this car. It is fun to drive has adequate space and offers a very fuel efficient means of transportation. The basic model is a little bit bare bones but you can certainly add to it without increasing the price to an unreasonable amount. It is a car that is well worth considering.
